The Star Academy

The Star is committed to fostering the growth and development of our employees. That’s why we’ve established The Star Academy, dedicated to providing comprehensive learning and development opportunities. 

The Star Academy offers a range of programs aligned with our purpose, values and principles. The programs cover areas including onboarding, risk & compliance, hospitality skills and leadership development. 

We also run the Star Culinary Institute, which provides a unique pathway for apprentice chefs to learn in our wide range of restaurants while completing their TAFE studies.

Leadership Program

The Star views leadership as a foundational capability of success and has embarked on a journey to invest in all people leaders across the business. Cornerstone, The Star Leadership Development Program has been uniquely designed to support the needs of our business and leaders through tailored workshops covering leadership impact, change and transformation, culture, decision making, courageous conversations and coaching and feedback.

The program is unique in that all leaders participate in each module sequentially together, with networking, connection and collaboration at the centre of design - creating alignment and rapport across our organisation and a consistency in role modelling of our Purpose, Values and Principles.
